  1. you’re awesome k.p.!

  2. Dear Kevin and Pat,

I hope this is the correct e-mail address to reach you. If I do not hear back, I’ll give a call tomorrow.

Holly Graham and I are conducting our annual summer art camp for children, Patterns in Nature, from August 16-20. We are following a Native American theme for this rather large camp of 17 children, with ages ranging from 5-12. It is our hope that we might be able to bring the kids out to Swinomish to your studio to talk with you and let them experience a real carver in his place of work. Our hope is to come on Thursday afternoon, August 19th, about 1:30 P.M.

I am wondering if this would be possible and if it is, how much you would charge for such a visit?

I am sorry to be so late in this request, but I have been more or less swept away with a new job I have as the Education Director at MoNA, working with another artist to coordinate the Education program for teachers and students over the coming year for the museum. I am honored to have this position, but since being hired in June, it has been just non-stop learning the ropes and helping conduct a week-long workshop for the 1st year teachers, just over toward the end of this week past.

It would be a great honor to bring the children to see you and have you talk to them about your carvings, the spirit path you walk and your places and origins of inspiration.

Please let me know if we might visit.

Thank you Kevin, and best regards to you both.

    Sincerely,

    Chris Wardenburg-Skinner
